PRAISE SINGER MOSIMANEGAPE JASONE TO USHER IN PRESIDENT RAMAPHOSA AT SONA 2022

Praise singer Mosimanegape Jasone from Manthe Village in Taung will usher President Cyril Ramaphosa for Thursday's State of the Nation Address (SONA) 2022 in Cape Town

Mosimanegape Jasone has landed in the Mother City of Cape Town. A  lad from Manthe Village in Taung- Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati has been given a rare opportunity, as a guest of both Speakers during  joint sitting of the National Assembly and the National Council of Provinces.

Mosimanegape was invited by the Chairperson of National Council of Provinces through the North West Provincial Legislature. Rre Jason will sing praises to President Cyril Ramaphosa on Thursday, 10th February 2022 at 7pm during the State of the Nation Address (SONA).

Government invites all South Africans to be part of SONA

As people will be tuning into their favourite television or radio station to be part of this national milestone, people of North West will be ululating with joy to see one of their own performing during this historic moment.

This moment will go down in the history of our democratic government that SONA will take place for the first time outside the precincts of Parliament. This comes after the fire that severely damaged the National Assembly building had necessitated the institution to find an alternative venue.

The Cape Town City Hall is where former President Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela addressed thousands of South Africans for the first time after his release from 27 years on incarceration.

Of course, we should be proud as a province, and this is testimony that North West is rich in arts and culture and Setswana is one of South Africa’s  indigenous languages and should be preserved.

We wish Ntate Mosimanegape Jason a good performance and stay in the Mother City.
